Aspiring Director – Greg Bauwens
At this stage in my life, friends are starting to grow up and part ways to find their niche in the world. A friend of mine, Greg Bauwens set off this fall in search of his calling. He packed up his things and moved to the promise land of film, Los Angeles. Greg is currently going to school to learn the in’s and out’s of being a director. Greg’s immense drive and gregarious personality give him air of an early Martin Scorsese. I have a feeling that he’ll be going far in the “City of Angels”.
This last week this fellow mentioned that he was making his way up to “City of Trees” for a brief visit. He explained to me that he was interested in having his picture taken. With my in studio shooting skills still in their embryonic stages I quickly jumped on his request in an attempt to help build my knowledge and familiarity with the process.
Greg brought an exciting energy and creative persona that made my day of shooting nothing but enjoyable. He patiently waited while I tried various lighting scenarios, put up with my request to shoot in the damp fall outdoors and brought unique props and expressions to each scene.
I’m super siked that we were able to connect and make some photographs happen. Thanks Greg!
